Brave New World?
So, we were supposed to read BNW for a few days ago. Based on the recent poll, it appears that four people are checking in with the blog. If any of those people have also read Brave New World, it would be great if they could identify themselves/tell us what they thought of the book!

I finished! i liked it very much. The end was really great and I was very contemplative for a few minutes. It seems that there are competing philosophies on how to get through life: in an orderly fashion, or in a messy (but more meaningful to those living it) manner. The decision is between which one you would prefer. One is secure and boring (but you will never know what you're missing) and the other is like a roller coaster. I personally would choose the roller coaster (even though i hate roller coasters) because at least I would be feeling something. Life has its serious ups and its serious downs and it would be a shame to sacrifice that for security.
1984 made Brave New World look like a fine place to live. I really enjoyed BNW, especially the first half, the second half didn't do it for me quite as much.
I thought 1984 was much better. World rocking book. Especially the end!
